Changes in behaviour

Things you can try to deal with your child’s behaviour:

  1. Talk to your child. Encourage them to explain why they’re angry or upset so you both understand the changes in behaviour.
  2. Be consistent. Try to react in the same way to their behaviour, praising good behaviour and putting in rules and boundaries when.
  3. Try not to overreact. When you child does something you find difficult, your anger and frustration can build up, but try and stay calm.
