Wirral Council’s Sensory Service aims to ensure that deaf and visually impaired children and young people (0 to 19 years) receive an appropriate inclusive education that enables them to fulfil their potential and develop into independent adults.
The teachers of the Visually Impaired, Teachers of the Deaf and specialist teaching assistants will work with you and your child throughout their education: from early years until they leave school or school 6th form.
Who is this aimed at?
Birth to 18/19 years old (depending on when they leave school). Must have a medically diagnosed impairment.
When
Term time mostly but interventions for Habilitation (home, cane skills, travel routes) in school holidays.

8am to 6pm

Cost
Free to parents, nurseries, and special and mainstream schools. There may be a cost to private schools.
