Being a Dad

Being a Dad is one of the best jobs in the world but it’s not all Dad jokes and good times. It can be tough sometimes and it is normal to feel overwhelmed especially as a new Dad. There are some things you can try to relieve some pressure and to help you be a great Dad.

Top tips for Dads

  1. Look after yourself. Put time aside for things you enjoy so you can let off some steam and come back ready to be with your kids.
  2. Accept help. If a family member or friend offers to make a cup of tea or washing dishes take them up on their offer if you want to. It is good to have a break.
  3. Have some one-on-one time, both with your partner and your child. It’s good to build those bonds as a dad and have time with your partner too.
