All young people will have equitable access to opportunities to develop their creative potential, live richer, fuller lives and develop the critical learning and life skills they need to become active contributors to their communities.
Theatre Technology Sessions
The Tech Session is designed for young people (ages 13-19) wanting to gain experience in all aspects of technical theatre. Pilgrim Street have their very own Theatre space, and support all the performances and shows that take place here.
Working as part of a small team (5 max), the session looks at the operation of the lighting and sound systems, and how they work with performances. It is a hands-on approach, and the young people will operate the sound at lights at shows / performances once they have gained the knowledge and skills.
Many of our young people have gone on to study at college and work within the live industry using the skills they have gained here at Creative Youth Development.
