BTR Liverpool are the leading independent organisation for creating, managing and delivering headline running events across the Liverpool City Region.
We strive to inspire, motivate and encourage the local running community - from beginners taking part in the first organised event, through to experienced runners chasing a personal best. BTR events are for everyone.
Port Sunlight 5k / 10k
Port Sunlight village provides not only a unique and picturesque back drop for runners but an ideal environment for a family day out - which is why the 10K and 5K races have been joined on race day by a 1K for kids to take part in so everyone can get involved.
This compact setting provides a tight network of roads and the 5K race finds it's way to the four corners of the village with twists and turns, a bit of undulation and sections along the way where you can really put your foot down, should you feel inclined.
The start and finish area sits alongside the impressive central fountain, the Lady Lever Art Gallery and the Port Sunlight Museum on the Windy Bank village green.
With the 5k going off at 10am over a single lap, the 10k starts at 11am over two laps... so there is plenty of racing for the spectators to watch as 1,000s of runners chase down fast times.
1k Fun Run
With the main event complete it's then time for the youngsters to get involved and have a go over a short 1K course once the 10K is over. Entries are taken on the day for the 1K and everyone completing the course gets a medal and a little reward for their efforts.
The Dual Race
Over the last couple of year there has been growing interest in running both the 5K and the 10K races, so if you would like to take up the dual race challenge then there are a limited number of places available for both races at a discounted rate.

As the event is hosted under UKA licence there is an age limit of 15 years on race day for the 5K and 16 years on race day for the 10K
The 1K fun run is open to everyone but is specifically for smaller children up to the age of 12 although there is no restriction. Parents are required to accompany their children around the course but not have to enter the run.

We would ask that anyone taking part in the 5k does not take more than an hour to complete the 5k course as this could hold up the start of the 10k race
There isn't a time limit on the 10k, in recent years participants have finished within 90 minutes

Supporters and volunteers are welcome and cheering is encouraged.
Please note: We cannot take event entries over the phone. You enter BTR events on the understanding that once the entry is accepted it is not possible to provide refunds, deferrals or entry transfers outside your statutory rights period.
