The Family Grief and Bereavement Group is held once a month at Joy in Birkenhead and offers a safe, supportive space for children and young people aged 11-16 to explore loss and bereavement in an age-appropriate way. Through creative activities and gentle conversation, the group gives young people opportunities to express feelings, build understanding, and connect with others who may have had similar experiences.
At Open Door, they reimagine what mental health support looks, sounds, and feels like using innovation, arts, and culture as catalysts for change.
Joy is a place that’s always evolving, with a programme of events, workshops and activities for you to explore. From creative sessions and exhibitions to wellbeing workshops and community events, there’s always something happening at Joy. It is the birthplace of a mental health support, social action, arts and culture space. Based in Hamilton Square, Birkenhead, they are a multipurpose community hub.
