When pregnancy doesn't go to plan

Sadly, sometimes pregnancy can go wrong. There is information and support available when pregnancy doesn’t follow the plan and if you experience birth trauma or baby loss.

  • Allow yourself time to grieve. There’s no ‘right’ way to grieve, and there is no timeline. You may feel sadness, anger, guilt, numbness – or all of them at once.
  • Lean on your support network. You don’t have to go through this alone. Let loved ones know what you need – whether it’s company, space, meals, or just someone to listen.
  • Be kind to yourself. Your body’s been through a lot, rest when you can. There is no pressure to bounce back, take care of yourself like you would a close friend
