How can I help my child in this time?

  1. Make it clear you want to support them- tell them you accept them for who they are and will support them through this time.
  2. Be open minded- if this is new for you, just listen and learn from your child. Whatever changes, they are still your child.
  3. Finding a supportive group for your child can help- allowing your child to meet others like them whether in person or online e.g. Wirral LGBT Network
