The Wheels for All initiative is a nationally recognised programme that embraces all children and adults with disabilities and differing needs, to engage in a quality cycling activity providing fun and stimulating cycling across the UK. By using specially adapted cycles, the activities are both physically and mentally stimulating and above all fun for everyone involved.
The first-ever public park in the world still has plenty to offer. Here at Wheels for All Birkenhead we offer all-ability cycling utilising its fleet of adapted bikes as, we aim to encourage health improvement, social inclusion and to provide adapted cycling for anyone with a disability or differing needs.
Our Wirral inclusive cycling activities take place along the paths of the park, starting and finishing from the football changing rooms adjacent to the the children’s playground, on the right as you enter from Ashville Road.
So come on down to Birkenhead Park and join in on our inclusive cycling sessions, where you can try out our wide range of adapted cycles; from trikes and quads, recumbents and side-by-sides to standard two wheelers for you to enjoy in a fun and safe environment.
