Build your knowledge and confidence to better understand and support autistic individuals. You’ll explore communication, behaviour, sensory needs and person-centred approaches, giving you practical insight for everyday situations.

The course runs for 10 weeks and will cover topics including:

• Understanding autism, including characteristics and common misconceptions
• Person-centred approaches to support individual needs
• Understanding different communication styles
• Exploring sensory needs
• Supporting positive behaviour
• Helping individuals live healthy, safe and fulfilling lives

Upon completion of the course, you will receive the accredited certification: NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism.

This course is a great opportunity for anyone who supports autistic individuals, including staff, volunteers, parents and carers who would like to build their knowledge and confidence.
