The Talking Teens Parenting Programme is a 4-week course based on the most recent research on adolescents. The programme provides a positive view of teenage development and focuses on relationships within the family, communication, negotiating, decision-making and strategies to reduce conflict.
Consisting of four sessions, it aims to increase parents understanding of teenagers feelings and behaviour, and deliver key strategies for maintaining and improving relationships.
Caritas provide services to children, families and vulnerable adults of all faiths and none and work across all sections of the community and cultural backgrounds. Their family Support Services has a dedicated team of experienced staff and volunteers, with excellent knowledge of local services and support networks.
The available support also includes intergenerational work, young people at the risk of becoming homeless, accessible community hubs and work with those seeking refuge and asylum.
Their vision is that all children, families and communities are empowered to experience the fullness of life.
This programme is aimed at parents/carers/guardians of teenagers.
