Rape Crisis England & Wales is the feminist charity working to end child sexual abuse, rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment and all other forms of sexual violence.
We are also the membership organisation for Rape Crisis centres across England and Wales. Together with our 37 member centres, we work to deliver specialist services to those affected by sexual violence and abuse, and aim to educate, influence and make change.
24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line
The 24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line is delivered by Rape Crisis England & Wales in partnership with three of their specialist member centres.
Did something sexual happen to you without your consent? Or are you not sure?
No matter when or where it happened, we are here for you. You can contact us at any time, day or night, all year round.
Not sure what happened to you or if it ‘counts’?
This service is for you too.
If something sexual happened to you that you didn’t want or that you didn’t have the freedom and capacity to agree to (maybe because you were unconscious or a child), that is not okay.
All forms of sexual violence, abuse and harassment can have a serious and long-lasting impact on people’s lives.
We will never think you’re wasting our time and we will never judge you.
How can we help you?
Our trained team of specialists are here to listen to you, believe you and answer any questions that you might have.
We can also share information and resources that might help you to:
We’re here for victims and survivors of child sexual abuse
Our name can be misleading. But Rape Crisis England & Wales – and our 36 member centres – have expertise in all forms of sexual violence and abuse, including child sexual abuse.
We are a service for anyone aged 16 and over in England and Wales who has been affected by rape, child sexual abuse, sexual assault, sexual harassment or any other form of sexual violence – at any point in their life.
This includes people of all genders who have experienced sexual violence or abuse, as well as anyone supporting them.
You can use this service if you don’t have leave to remain in the UK or your immigration status is insecure.
Anyone who calls the Support Line can ask to speak to us in another language. We will then try to find you an interpreter via the interpreting service LanguageLine.
24/7 – We are open 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Call us or start an online chat, both options are free and confidential.
Please note: This is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent medical help, please call 999.
If you need an interpreter, please call the Support Line and let the operator know.
