At Next Chapter, we work with children over the age of 8 and adults. We’re passionate about helping people to develop more understanding of themselves – their brains, their bodies and the direct link between the two.
Delivered in small groups of 6 to 8 online or in person, over 6 weeks for 2 hours per week.
Parents are required to attend an evening online workshop prior to the course starting, enabling strategies to be embedded in daily life.
This course is accredited by Open Awards, enabling children and young people to understand their brains, develop self-awareness and create a personalised plan to manage emotions more effectively. They will learn how to communicate feelings with key adults, in order to feel heard, supported and understood, developing healthier communication.
Each week involves a craft activity alongside their workbook.
Who is this aimed at?
This course is aimed at children and young people aged 4 to 10 years old who would like to better understand or manage their emotions, experience low-level stress and worry and would benefit from a framework and toolkit to use in daily life.
