Wirral Youth Zone named by young people as ‘The Hive', is a purpose-built facility for the borough's young people. For members aged 8–19 (up to age 25 for those with disabilities) Providing a safe environment where young people can come and enjoy themselves and enables young people to raise their aspirations and confidence to create a happier and healthier generation.
Hiveability
All our activities are accessible for all young people with a disability or additional need. Our team works to make sure you can get involved with whatever you want to, with the right support.
But if you have an additional need, you can also choose to come along to our dedicated HiveAbility sessions too.
You’ll find the same huge range of things to do across our art, music, sports, media, kitchen, salon and rec areas with a bit more support, space to reduce the noise if you need to and careful planning so that each area doesn’t get too busy.
It’s a great place to develop your confidence to come independently but if it’s right for you, we can arrange for a parent, carer or a support worker to stay with you during these sessions.
We can’t offer 1-1 support or personal care. If you’d like to come to a HiveAbility session, have a chat with us first so we understand your individual needs.
Who is this aimed at?
