Domestic Abuse Programme for Male Perpetrators – It Matters

The “It Matters” programme is designed for adults who have used abusive behaviour in their relationships. The programme aims to help participants understand the impact of their behaviour, take responsibility for their actions, and develop healthier ways of thinking, communicating and behaving.

Participants will initially attend an introductory session. If they wish to continue, they will be asked to sign a commitment agreement to engage with the programme.

The programme is suitable for adult males who wish to address abusive behaviours within relationships.

The service focuses on accountability, behavioural change and improving relationship skills.

The Crossing Point seeks to help restore those whose lives have been impacted by domestic abuse and see them living in hope. Using a holistic approach, they provide personalised support, group recovery programmes and outreach.

They are working to see the generational cycle of domestic abuse broken, raising awareness through teaching and training within communities.
