Community Capacity Builders (CCB) will work alongside the school to offer therapeutic and counselling support to children and parents who have difficulties attending school due to ongoing mental health issues.
As well as providing fully qualified counsellors, CCB will deliver a range of sports and physical activities designed to enrich and enhance the health, well-being and quality of life of those who attend.
We have chosen Riverside due to several psychosocial and economic factors that dramatically affect the lives of local families and the children who attend.
A full CCB report of the project will be completed by June 2024 with further applications for funding being made to help support Riverside and schools like them with the ongoing and complex issues that they face.
