Build confidence in your parenting skills at a time and pace that suits you. The Action For Children’s free online parenting courses offer guidance and tips from experienced parenting coaches.

The course has been created by Action for Children parenting coaches and early years specialists with busy families in mind.

The Building Blocks to Parenting course offers 90 minutes of bitesize learning split across 8 modules. Each module consists of encouraging, non-judgemental advice designed to build the confidence of parents and carers of 0-5 year-olds in their own parenting skills. Each module also includes links to further support resources, such as more in-depth advice or signposting to specialised services.

The modules include:

  • Early Parenthood
  • Finding your parenting style
  • Supporting your child’s emotional development
  • Understanding big emotions, tantrums and meltdowns
  • Supporting your child through a tantrum or meltdown
  • Building confidence and self-esteem
  • Developing communication skills
  • The magic of play and connection.

To start learning, you need to register for Action For Children Parenting Courses. You’ll be taken to a page to set up your free courses account where you will be asked some questions about your family. Your answers will be anonymous and won’t affect your access to the course.
