A Supported Internship offers young people aged 16-24 with an Education, Health and Care Plan the opportunity to gain practical work-based learning experience, providing a smooth transition from education to paid employment and further study. Students on the internships spend 3 days a week in employment and 1 day a week at college developing employability skills such as CV building, job applications, interview skills and English and Maths.

Wellbeing is a key component of settling into your accommodation. Our Living Black at University research told us that finding the right food, haircare and entertainment can be difficult for students from Black backgrounds. To make you feel more at home we have provided a range of services in Liverpool, under the four pillars of wellbeing; physical, social, mental, and financial, to enable you to settle in, find your group and focus on your new course.

Pupil Pals and Student Friends are free befriending services in which socially isolated and lonely clients receive regular cards, pictures or support letters made for Omega by creative children and students.

Families can drop in to the stay and play and they can also book an appointment with Samantha Asher to gain advice to support your child’s early development. Discussions may explore Autism, ADHD, Sensory Sensitivities, communication and more.
