A Core Group Meeting is an informal meeting to talk about the progress of the Child Protection Plan.
There is a Core Group Meeting every 4 weeks while the Child Protection plan is in place.
People who might be at the Core Group are parents/carers, close family members, the social worker, school or nursery, the Health Visitor or School Nurse and anyone else supporting the family, like Parent Advocates.
During Core Group Meetings, there will be an agenda.
This says what will be talked about in the meeting.
The Social Worker will make sure that everything in the agenda is covered.
People at the meeting will share updates about the progress of the plan.
They will talk about what needs to happen in the next few weeks.
They will set a date for the next Core Group Meeting.
