We Do Tennis is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) that partners with local authorities and other organisations to make tennis easier to access and more welcoming in local communities.
On the Wirral, they run parks tennis on behalf of Wirral Council, supporting both casual ‘turn up and play’ use and organised activity so that beginners, returning players and regular players can all get on court more often.
We Do Tennis also promotes a pathway of participation through park-based tennis sessions (such as junior and adult coaching, starter options and social play) and links into competitive opportunities like LTA Local Tennis Leagues and park events, helping people progress from an occasional hit into a consistent local tennis community.
The programme supports free, informal ways to try tennis through Barclays LTA Free Park Tennis. These are hour sessions in local parks that are designed to be fun and social, open to all ages and abilities and supported with equipment.
These sessions are led by trained volunteers, creating a low-barrier entry point into the sport and a friendly route into ongoing coaching, social play and wider tennis activity.
We Do Tennis runs a variety of groups and activities. Search We Do Tennis on Family Toolbox to find out more.
