The SHOUT service is a confidential, 24/7 text service for people aged 16+, operated by trained crisis volunteers who will chat using text responses. Advice is available for anyone struggling with a host of issues, including anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, abuse or assault, self-harm, bullying or relationship issues.
To start a conversation, text the word ‘SHOUT’ to 85258. Our trained volunteers are here to listen at any time of day or night, and messages won’t appear on your phone bill. Every texter is connected with a real-life human being trained to bring people from a hot moment to a cool calm place through active listening and collaborative problem-solving. All of our Crisis Volunteers donate their time to helping people in crisis.
