Historical Landmarks

The village is home to more than 900 Grade II listed buildings with over 30 different architects that created the buildings, monuments and memorials that we see today. Explore the imposing tombs of Lady Lever and Viscount Leverhulme at Christ Church, and the War Memorial in the centre of the village with its poignant sculptures. Our walking tours are a perfect way to understand these in greater detail.

Port Sunlight plays host to a variety of events through the year at venues such as the Gladstone Theatre and Hulme Hall, where Ringo Starr first performed with The Beatles.

The village is proud to hold Green Flag and Green Heritage Accreditation in recognition of the care and attention we give to our historic buildings and parks and gardens. Why not call in to the popular Port Sunlight Garden Centre to recreate your own little part of Port Sunlight at home.
