The Jewish Bereavement Counselling Service (JBCS) founded 45 years ago, is a registered charity and member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

JBCS is committed to ensuring professional, skilled and confidential bereavement counselling to everyone in the Jewish Community. JBCS seeks to work in ways that respect values, beliefs, and needs. Anyone struggling or having difficulties managing after the death of a significant person, can contact JBCS. The Charity was set up to protect and preserve mental health and the relief of suffering and distress caused through bereavement by:

• Offering bereavement counselling to adults, children, young people, families and support groups.
• Providing welfare, health and educational organisations with advice and support in cases of bereavement.
• Providing bereavement training
• Working closely with other statutory and voluntary services.

We are flexible in that counselling can take place in your own home or a venue elsewhere. JBCS also offers telephone and online counselling.
