Life with a disabled child brings unique challenges, which is why we’re here for you. Whether you’re looking for information or advice, have a question about your child’s condition or want to join one of our helpful workshops, we can help you every step of the way.
We understand that life with a disabled child often brings unique challenges. Our helpline advisers can help you feel more confident and informed about tackling them. We can give you advice, information and support about any concern or question you might have, including:
- Getting a diagnosis and medical information
- Services your family might be entitled to
- Benefits and sources of financial help
- Family Finances call-back appointments
- Support in the early years
- Special educational needs
Who is this aimed at?
Our helpline is for parents and carers in any part of the UK with a disabled child aged from birth up to 25. Your child can have any kind of disability or additional need, and you do not need to have a diagnosis.
Opening hours
This helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 5pm.
Cost
This helpline is free, there is no cost
Calls are free from UK landlines and UK mobiles

Press 1, to speak to an education adviser, and press 2 for all other helpline enquires.
Please note: Every Tuesday the helpline opens at a slightly later time of 10:15am due to a team meeting.
There is access to interpreters from Language Line Solutions.
