Blue Skies Ahead opened in October 2014 in response to a growing demand for therapy solutions outside of the traditional NHS offering. Our founder Sam worked for Stick n Step a Conductive Education charity specialising in cerebral palsy, during this time she continued to train and learn new techniques.
As word of mouth grew we officially launched our Neuro services in 2016 offering 2-day training for parents of children with disabilities and special needs.
We offer a number of therapies such as:
- Body Talk BodyTalk is a healthcare system that has combined Western medical knowledge of anatomy, physiology, structure and function, with Eastern and traditional Chinese medicines.
- CFT - Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (also known as the Gillespie Approach) is a gentle therapy addressing structural restrictions throughout the body which may affect and contribute to its ability to function and move optimally.
- Conductive Education - CE is a specialised movement based programme for child and adults with neurological motor disorders; Cerebral Palsy, Global Development Delay, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Brain Injury and more.
- Portage - Portage is a system of play based learning for pre-school children with additional needs. Enabling ‘parents to use a small approach to learning, breaking down long term goals into achievable targets that are practical, immediate and relevant for the whole child and family.’
- Cold Laser - Here we use Bonnie Brandes’ Quantum Reflex Integration (QRI) laser which combines the powerful effects of cold laser, sound, and reflex integration techniques. Bonnie is a global expert in Primitive Reflex Integration and discovered that by using LLLT instead of manual exercises she could help children with disabilities overcome their challenges much quicker.
Improvements are seen in cognition, behaviour, emotional stability, and movement.
