Afasic’s vision is that every child and young person with speech, language and communication needs should be enabled to overcome the challenges they face and become the best they can be.
Afasic’s core purpose is to provide information and support for parents and carers, and also to health, education and care professionals, to enable them to better understand, help and advocate for children with speech, language and communication needs; and to enable children and young people to develop key skills, improve social integration and gain access to educational and legal entitlements.
We are here to help provide information and support to children, young people, and families affected by Speech, Language and Communication Needs. Our current services include:
Support for Parents
Afasic supports parents and carers with children and young people who have difficulties with listening, talking and understanding others.
Whether you are a parent or carer seeking help for the first time, looking for additional help or as a young person who is still managing challenges with talking, we hope that we can help you to find the information and access the support that you need.
