Theatre Technology Sessions

The Tech Session is designed for young people (ages 13-19) wanting to gain experience in all aspects of technical theatre. At Pilgrim Street, we have our very own Theatre space, and we support all the performances and shows that take place here.

Working as part of a small team (5 max), within the session we look at the operation of the lighting and sound systems, and how they work with the performances we put on. It is a hands-on approach that we promote, and the young people will operate the sound at lights at shows / performances once they have gained the knowledge and skills.

We are proud to say that many of our young people have gone on to study at college and work within the live industry using the skills they have gained here at Creative Youth Development.
