Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust contributes to life in the Wirral region, not only being one of the largest employers but by supporting the health and wellbeing of the community and playing a leading role in research, education and innovation.
The Highfield Birth Team consists of six midwives who provide care to women choosing to have their babies at home or in Seacombe Birth Centre. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week giving women access to a known midwife throughout their pregnancy, birth and after their baby is born.
Are you pregnant and booked under Wirral Women & Children’s Hospital Arrowe Park for your maternity care?
If so this midwife-led session exploring options for where you can have your baby is for you. Learn about the risks and benefits of each birthplace to help you make the decisions that are right for you and your baby. Birth partners are welcome and encouraged to come along too.
Join the Highfield midwives for an informal group session including:
- Benefits of homebirth
- Equipment and what to get ready
- Labour and birth
- Pain relief options
