Tips for when your child becomes clingy

  1. Plan quality time. Make points in the day when your child has your full attention. This should lessen their need to cling onto you at other times.
  2. Have a transitional object. Giving your child something that reminds them of you will help them feel connected to you even when you are not there.
  3. Work on their independence. Give them tasks they can complete on their own and praise them for doing it without your help.
