Response is a confidential service for young people aged 13 to 19 years old. We offer a wide range of support in relation to Young People who are struggling with substances, alcohol, or their mental health. Many of the Young People who use Response have different needs that require a lot of support. Response will listen to you, hear what you are telling us, and try to support you in finding solutions.
Our Counselling Team, also work with Young People 13-19 and support with matters like self harm, low self esteem, feeling anxious, and overwhelming emotions. We offer 1-2-1 sessions in a safe environment and look at things like, education, harm reduction, achieving goals, positive mental wellbeing, and empowering Young People to make positive choices.
Counselling sessions are available through the week by appointment – you can call into Response to make an appointment, telephone the service, or ask someone to make an appointment for you as long as they have your permission. Response offers early evening appointments on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Self-referral or via other agency. We work with partner agencies across Wirral and if we are not the correct place to refer a Young Person too, we will do our best to signpost you to the right support.
Our services are accessible by calling our Duty Line and/or emailing for advice, guidance and referrals. You can also attend Response in person and ask for the duty worker.
