We are a charity set up in memory of our mate Paul Lavelle who was sadly taken from us in cruel circumstances in May 2017. After Paul’s loss, a large group of us (we have a network of 50 mates) decided to honour Paul and set up a charity to raise awareness of domestic abuse involving men.
Healthy Relationship Education Workshop
The workshops support the early intervention work set out in the VAWG strategy, to help to break the cycle of domestic abuse. They are aimed at primary and secondary schools, colleges, plus other children and young people’s educational settings and are suitable for children and young people with additional learning needs.
The workshops are designed to inspire positive behavioural change in children and young people and look at the key issues surrounding domestic, sexual abuse, understanding healthy relationships and the consequences of abuse. They are an engaging way to start a conversation about difficult issues in a non-threatening environment. They are designed to be accessible for a variety of ages.
There are 2 versions of the workshop. One version for primary aged children, years 5 & 6 and another for secondary school age and older, including into adulthood.
