Are you a parent or carer of a child aged 2–11? Want to feel more confident, manage family stress, and build stronger relationships with your children? Join our free EPEC Being a Parent course and discover practical tools to help your family thrive.
What is EPEC?
Wirral Family Hubs are delivering the internationally recognised and evidence-base Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities (EPEC) programme. It is designed to support parents in creating happier, more resilient families.
It’s all about parents helping parents – offering guidance, support, and real-life tips to make family life a little easier.
Being a Parent Course
The Being a Parent course is designed for parents and carers of children aged 2–11 years. It’s completely free and delivered by other parents who understand the challenges of raising children because they’ve been there too.
This 8-week course is packed with practical tools to help you:
It’s interactive, supportive, and friendly – no lectures, just real conversations and practical tips you can use every day.
What Makes This Course Different?
Unlike other parenting courses, Being a Parent is run by parent volunteers who have completed specialist training. They bring their own real-life experiences, creating a welcoming, relatable space where parents feel heard and supported.
They understand because they’ve been in your shoes.
The volunteers are continuously supported by the EPEC Hub Coordinators to ensure their practice is safe, high quality and effective.
If you’re a parent or carer of a child aged 2–11 living in Wirral, this course is for you
