Witchlets UK

Founded in 2016, we initially started as a small group of people who wanted to provide activities for the children at Pagan festivals such as Artemis Gathering. It quickly became clear though that what was missing in the UK was a central organisation for all Pagan parents to come to for advocacy and information, so that is what we set about to build.

Advocacy

Witchlets UK is on a mission to normalise Paganism in schools through education and systemic change.

As of the 2021 census, Paganism ranks the 7th largest religion in the England and Wales, and the 2nd fastest growing. Most schools throughout the UK have Pagan or Heathen families in them and unfortunately often some of the learning materials can be hurtful and harmful to their spiritual learning.

Parents and Guardians

In theory and legally, your children should be free to an education without fear of religious bias. We know though that this is not always the case. We also know that miscommunication and lack of information is normally the primary cause, and something we are in the position to rectify.

If you are struggling with your education setting in regards to your Pagan faith, we can help you. As a mediator, we objectively listen to both sides, and can work with you to find middle ground, so that your children can have an uninterrupted education, which is the most important thing. Talk with us today by using the contact form below.

Travelling library

This is a library dedicated to Pagan and Heathen, inclusivity, environmental and well-being books. We take this library to festivals and gatherings for children to borrow, with an honour system to return them.

All books are carefully curated to ensure they meet our basic inclusivity guidelines and quality assurances.

How to get involved

The more people that get involved and support what we do, the more we can help other families. We have volunteer roles from workshop coordinators to resource creators.

We also have a Facebook group that provides a space for guardians/parents to keep up to date with the news, activities and events for Witchlets UK, and to get involved in the exciting projects we have upcoming.
