We offer information, advice, and support to children, young people, and parents/carers about special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This includes health and social care which is linked to education.
We are a free, dedicated, confidential, and impartial service based in Wirral. Volunteers are independently trained in SEND.
Ways we can help
Sendist Tribunal Support/Educational Support
Supporting families through the process of tribunal, we all know first hand how stressful it can be and we will help you with as much or as little help as you request.
We also help in school meetings or exclusion meetings, our team is fully trained and has plenty of experience. We can do as little as just take notes or we can give full advocacy. We will always discuss with you what you would like our support to look like, we want to empower you.
Sensory Play Sessions
The Charity has a large area to allow children to play and relax. There is lots of play equipment and it is ideal for different ages and abilities. All our sessions are run by volunteers so someone is always there to help you if you need it. You can just take the time to relax with a cuppa and chat with other parents.
Your child does not have to have additional needs or disabilities to attend our sessions.
Weekly Coffee Morning
We provide a safe space to meet others and parents, our Coffee Mornings are always fun and a time to distress. We have our SEND team on hand if you want to discuss any issues they may be able to help with.
This is open to all parents, you do not have to a child with additional needs to join us for a coffee or tea, you may just fancy a natter and that’s absolutely fine. We love to see new parents.
