Street League

We work in communities across Scotland and England as well as offering online support to young people not in employment, education or training.  Our free sport for employment programmes have helped thousands of young people find a job.

Creating bright futures for young people.

Whilst the UK’s unemployment rate is at around 4.6%, youth unemployment is three times this. A youth unemployment crisis has been caused by the coronavirus pandemic with a disproportionate impact on young people. Young people living in poverty are twice as likely to be out of work. We're here to change that.

Street League uses the power of sport to tackle poverty and give young people the opportunities they need to succeed in life and the workplace. From school to the world of work, we work with young people aged 14-30, living in the UK’s most disadvantaged communities. Our staff help them overcome their practical and personal barriers to employment.

Play sport every day, learn the key skills to get a job and get paid. What are you waiting for?

How it works:

  • Aged 16-30 and not in work, education or training?

  • Join our free courses across Scotland and England

  • Get support with work and life skills

  • 1-to-1 mentoring and career advice

  • Nationally recognised qualifications, including maths and English

  • Daily sport and fitness activities from our trained coaches

  • Online support through our Head Body Future programme

Start your employment journey:

We believe that real-life skills are ones discovered outside the classroom. While traditional schooling and exams are the most common way to begin your career, they are not the only route. A young person's future can be made outside the classroom and our purpose is to make sure every young person gets an opportunity to build a brighter future.

Be the positive impact on a young person's life:

We believe that every young person should have the chance to succeed. Everything we do is focused on supporting young people so that they can fulfil their potential and gain long-lasting employment, education or training. We work with amazing partners - commissioners, companies, trusts and foundations - to make a difference to the lives of young people.

Who is this aimed at?
