Rock Ferry Operatic Society is a small friendly society giving great encouragement to its members in the exciting world of performing arts – singing, acting, dancing, directing, accompanying rehearsals, building sets, designing and making costumes and props and organising fund raising events.
The society is one of the oldest on Merseyside with the earliest performances recorded in the 1880s. Originally known as Rock Ferry Amateur Operatic Society, since its foundation it has presented a great variety of operas, operettas and musicals including the works of Gilbert and Sullivan, Viennese Operetta and the ever popular American Musicals.

We rehearse on Thursday evenings at Prenton Methodist Church. Rehearsals are fun and engaging and offer something for everyone. There is a charge which goes towards the cost of pianist and hire of the rehearsal space,
If you would like to join us as a playing or non-playing member, just come along to Prenton Methodist Church where you will receive a warm welcome in a friendly atmosphere. If you would like to come along to one of our rehearsals, even for a taster, contact us by email.

Performances are open to all.
New members (16+) are warmly welcomed whether new to singing and amateur dramatics, experienced performers or with an interest in back stage skills.
