We know antenatal test results can sometimes be challenging. We're here to help.
Pregnancy isn’t always predictable. Every year over 20,000 expectant parents will get the news that their baby may not be developing as expected. Antenatal Results and Choices can give you impartial information and support to help you decide on your next steps.
ARC is a national charity helping parents and healthcare professionals through antenatal screening and its consequences via a helpline and forum.
Worried about an antenatal result?
Our charity is here to support you if you receive a scan result that shows your baby may not be developing as expected. We give you the information and support you need to make your own decision about what to do next.
We’re here for you, your partner and family if you:
- Are making decisions before, during or after antenatal tests
- Have been given a worrying result from an antenatal screening or diagnostic test
- Have been told your baby has a fetal anomaly
- Have to make a decision about continuing or ending your pregnancy
- Have made a decision following antenatal testing and would like on-going support
After diagnosis - Find support if you have been told that your baby has a genetic or physical condition or is not developing as expected. It is likely to be a worrying time for you.
Dealing with loss - Want to talk? We’re here as often as you need us. Our helpline is answered by trained staff.
Resources - We have put together a selection of stories written by men and women that have been affected by prenatal diagnosis and baby loss. The stories cover a range of experiences and emotions.
The ARC forum
The ARC forum is for people who have ended a pregnancy after a prenatal diagnosis. It is password-protected and gently moderated by ARC staff. It provides a private, supportive space where bereaved parents can share feelings, experiences, coping strategies and hopes for the future.
