Top tips for the holidays with kids

  1. Plan what you are going to do. Whether you’re at home or away, it can help you feel more organised and will help manage your child’s expectations.
  2. Enjoy the time you have with your kids. Try to do things that bring out the best in you all, so you can appreciate having the time together.
  3. Take some time away if you can. Looking after your kids over the holidays can be tiring, so remember to take some time for yourself to do something fun. If you have a partner, or older kids who can be unsupervised, take time out to be on your own and do something to relax. If you’ve got little kids, try to make the most of the time to yourself after they’ve gone to bed.
