West Wirral Scout District delivers #SkillsForLife to hundreds of young people in groups based in Greasby, Heswall, Hoylake, Moreton, Meols, Barnston, Newton, Upton, West Kirby and Thurstaston.
Our young people and adult volunteers get the opportunity to enjoy new adventures; gain experience of the outdoors, interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Beavers are our youngest members and generally meet for an hour per week. They enjoy all that Scouting has to offer; being introduced to outdoor activities, having the opportunity to be creative, exploring their local community and experiencing the excitement of a Beaver Scout Sleepover with their friends.
Beavers start to develop their team working skills, and communication through their fun activities, so these skills are developed naturally through the programme. The Beaver Colony is the first and youngest section of the Scout Group. Beaver Scouts are young people aged between 6 and 8 years old.
