Our Founder members, who in 1947 formed the club, were employees at Levers Soap factory and our earliest Wirral waters were gifted to us by the late Lord Leverhulme.
Port Sunlight Angling Club are a progressive angling club, bucking the trend of many others in having a thriving membership.
Club Waters
We now have a diverse portfolio of waters including 14 well-maintained and stocked pools and our own stretches of the Shropshire Union Canal and the River Weaver Navigation.
Additionally, our members have access to 7 miles of river fishing on the Welsh Dee through affiliations with Dee A.A. and Huyton and D A.A. and many more Miles of the Shropshire Union, plus the Llangollen and Montgomery Canals through affiliations with Lymm A.C. and Dee A.A. Plus 20 miles of the Leeds and Liverpool canal through our affiliation with Liverpool and District A.A. from the city centre through to Halsall in Lancashire.

Memberships are available to Juniors from age 6 to 13 years, Young Person ages 14 to 18 years and Seniors 18+
Membership runs from the 1st of April until the 31st of March

New memberships normally become available in April each year following our membership renewal process. New memberships are limited and as a result, applicants are now required to add their details to a waiting list by following the requirements supplied when clicking the Senior Membership Waiting List button.
Memberships, when available, will be offered to those on the waiting list first on a first come first served basis. Any remaining memberships will then be made available to general online applicants.
