This Halloween, children and families are invited to join a creative Green Spells poetry workshop at Birkenhead Central Library. During the session, children will have the chance to cast their own imaginative spells into a cauldron and wave magic wands to send positive messages to Mother Nature.
Led by Poet in Residence Alison Schultz, this family-friendly workshop will combine Halloween fun with a green, nature-inspired theme. The focus will be on playing with words, using imagination and exploring how poetry can be used to celebrate and care for the natural world.
Children will be encouraged to create their own spell poems, share ideas and take part in a relaxed, welcoming activity designed especially for ages 8 to 11. There will also be the chance to make a magic wand at the end of the workshop, adding a hands-on creative element to the session.
