Shaftesbury Youth Club run a social supermarket as its long tradition of supporting the local community continues. Opened in partnership with Feeding Britain, the initiative offers low-cost food and other essentials to local residents.
Social supermarkets are a proven way of preventing families from falling into crisis – often taking at least some of the strain off food banks. All revenue generated through this project will be injected back into the community to make it a stronger, happier place to live. Everyone is welcome no matter what their circumstances are. This social supermarket is not means-tested.
There is always plenty of stock for everyone. Please do not feel like you are taking away from someone else if you use this service. If you have any questions or you would like to see what the club is all about you can pop in for a cuppa and a chat, their kettle is always on.
