Be U Wirral offers mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people who are in care, those with Wirral care leaver’s team or those under a Special Guardianship Order. We work with work key professionals, such as social workers, foster carers, and residential workers to best support the young person.
At Be U Wirral, we support any young person who is looked after by Wirral Local Authority, engaged with the Wirral Care Leavers’ Team, or on the edge of care.
The service provides direct therapeutic interventions to the Wirral’s CLA through individual tailored programmes delivered at locations that are easily accessible or virtually online if this is preferred. The Be U Wirral team will also work with key professionals (mainly social workers, foster carers, and residential workers) to support CLA directly and indirectly as a blended approach.
Through a range of interventions, Be U Wirral aims to increase placement stability for CLA and develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence of professionals through consultation and training.
Those in care, under Wirral’s care leavers team or those under SGO, aged 0 years to 18 years (up to 25 with SEND). You must also live in Wirral or within a 40 mile radius of its border for face-to-face support.

We work from multiple venues, depending on where it is best for you. We try to ensure that the venue we work with you from is local to either where you live or where you go to school/work, but also somewhere that feels safe and comfortable. We can also provide support over the phone and online if that is preferred.
