UK Unplugged is a Wirral-based Community Interest Company (CIC) that helps families and young people achieve a healthier balance with screen use. We offer engaging, accessible resources and activities that encourage offline interaction, creativity, and connection. Our core service involves hand-crafted “Unplugged Boxes,” uniquely designed to be accessible for all young people, including those with diverse learning needs.
Summer Support for Families
This summer, we’re distributing 124 Unplugged Boxes to local families facing specific challenges.
Through our work, UK Unplugged CIC enhances family well-being, supports mental health, and provides vital offline experiences for vulnerable young people in our community.
This initiative is designed for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), young people currently on the CAMHS (Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services) waiting list, and families from low-income backgrounds or those eligible for free school meals
We are currently accepting requests for our summer holiday unplugged boxes, with distribution scheduled to begin at the start of the school holidays in late July
This project is specifically for the Wirral area
We are very grateful that this opportunity is completely free for our families and young people
We currently don’t have a physical centre, so for any inquiries, please contact us via our social media or email.
