Following a five year hiatus Leap Dance Festival returned in 2024, refocused, re-energised, and brought the ultimate celebration of dance to Liverpool.

Leap Dance Festival is Liverpool City Region’s leading dance event, showcasing the work of local artists, community groups and young people.

​Last year’s festival saw 781 performers take to theatres, museums, and the streets, showcasing dance to over 37,000 people across Liverpool City Region and online.​

For 2025, we will continue to:

• ​Provide opportunities for young people
• Bring community groups from across the city region together through dance
• Co-commission new work from artists based in our city region
• Create development opportunities for emerging artists
