MYA RAISE
We want to make mental health everyone’s business. The Merseyside Youth Association’s RAISE Mental Health Promotion Team specialise in the promotion of mental health and resilience to children and young people.,as well as bitesize courses aimed specifically at parents, carers and professionals.
Youth Connect 5
As parents, we develop our own approaches to nurturing, caring for and developing our children as they grow from babies through to young adults. But sometimes situations arise in life – either at home or at school – that may bring some challenges for you and your child to deal with.
Being able to deal with these challenges, and helping your child manage life when it gets tough will make them stronger and improve their chances of being able to bounce back when things are stacked against them.
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, but Youth Connect 5 will teach you the skills you can then draw upon to both build your own resilience, but most importantly your child’s.
During the course you will:
- Understand young people’s mental health.
- Think about what makes us thrive.
- Develop family resilience.
- Understand why we feel the way we do.
- Develop skills to support your children.
