Cadet Life
Cadet life is all about challenge, excitement and adventure. Cadets have many opportunities including UK and overseas camps, leadership courses, air experience flights and pilot training. The focus is always on enjoying yourself while improving your skills.
Activities
With the RAF Air Cadets you’ll be able to try exciting challenges like flying and gliding, space and cyber, sports and adventure training. You will be able to gain and improve key life skills such as confidence, teamwork and leadership.
Training and Education
We have a varied syllabus of training and education for both cadets and adult volunteers. You can gain skills and qualifications that will be useful for your daily lives and careers.
Space
There’s lots of opportunity to learn about space and cyber in the Air Cadets. From the technology developed for space travel, learning about the universe, rocket engines, satellites and space pioneers. The sky is not the limit.

Who is this aimed at?
Young people between the ages of 12 to 19 years
As an inclusive and diverse organisation, we welcome all people and each has their own reasons for joining and their own stories to tell about life with the cadets.

National and international camps and expeditions may be an extra cost
How to get involved
Once you have chosen your squadron, please complete the online form, it will be sent to your local air cadet squadron who will get in touch to tell you anything you need to know and help you with your application.
Your parent/guardian will receive general information in an email about the application process to the RAF Air Cadets. If you do wish to apply to join the RAF Air Cadets, they will need to follow the steps in this email.
