HYPE Urban Bikes will be making cycling cheaper, safer, more accessible, and a natural choice for as many people as possible.
Our workshop recycles bikes by picking up dumped or donated bikes, refurbishing them, or reusing the parts to bring another bike to life. We also facilitate bikeability skills training, bike loans and lead bike rides locally.
HYPE Urban Bikes aims to make cycling cheaper, safer, more accessible, and a natural choice for as many people as possible. We are passionate about the potential biking has to make life better for people.
We also have a number of second-hand bikes available at the workshop ranging from £30-£150. They are all roadworthy and safe.
We are also running some short, basic rides that would be great for beginners. There is no previous experience or level of fitness needed, just that you can ride a bike. They will be set mostly on cycle paths to help build riding confidence.
We have a workshop at The Quinnovations building, Campbeltown Road, Birkenhead CH41 9HP.
We offer Fix it Friday where people can book to use our space and work on their own bike. this also means you will have access to our specialist tools and help from us.
This is aimed at disadvantaged children and young people in the Merseyside region.
