The Positivitree is a mental health and wellbeing organisation that helps families of children, young people or adults with additional health or care needs. The Positivitree is a social enterprise on a mission to empower parents and carers with self-care tools and experiences that improve wellbeing. The main focus of the organisation is on the wellbeing and self-care of the parent-carer community.
We believe that emotionally nourished parents raise resilient children. Our services show parent-carers that they have the power within them to be the best version of themselves for themselves and their families.
Healthy Parent Carer Programme
Are you a Wirral parent-carer raising a young person, aged 8+ who is not currently accessing school, or who has low attendance?
We're really proud of our newest partnership with the lovely gang from Comics Youth thanks to funding from Family Toolbox. Over the next year we will be piloting a collaborative programme (for families described above) with the aim to learn, support and create change. The Positivitree offer will be focussed on working with parents and carers, and young people can work with the team from Comics Youth.
There are a variety of reasons that children and young people in the community have low attendance or aren't accessing school, they could be due to learning needs, neurodiversity, medical conditions, mental health and many others. This multi-week structured and evidence-based training programme is specifically designed to upskill parent and carers who are struggling to support their young people.
The HPC programme content is based around a set of universal and evidence-based actions (CLANGERS) associated with health and well-being. CLANGERS stands for ‘Connect’, ‘Learn’, ‘Be Active’, ‘Notice’, ‘Give’, ‘Eat well’, ‘Relax and Sleep’.
